My story started with a visit to Shrewsbury, and as usual, I had prayed for God’s will to be done in His day and for Him to use me.
I was drawn to the Worship coming from the Ignite group of people, and of course I love to worship and sing to God, so I joined in from a distance.
I didn’t know these people, but I was greeted and received a warm welcome from Susie who then invited me along to the next open-air evangelism.
I agreed to come, sit on the bench and pray, as I felt shy and lacking in confidence to do anything else, I’d never done this before in a public way, only of course sharing Jesus in a more intimate environment with people I knew.
The thought of speaking of Jesus to complete strangers feared me and I wasn’t sure how I’d approach them. I was fearful of saying the wrong thing and of what the reception would be. I guess how most people may feel about such a new way of sharing God’s love!
Well, all that aside, God CAN and DOES use us, if we make ourselves available and trust in His Holy Spirit to lead the way.
With God’s Grace and his equipping, He has given me the confidence to step out of my comfort zone, to share and speak of God’s LOVE, KINDNESS, FAITHFULNESS, MERCY, HEALING, FORGIVENESS, SALVATION and so much more! Although I am still nervous each time I go along, I ask for God’s Holy Spirit to guide and lead the way and He always does!
God showed me that I just need to be myself in Him and one of the best ways to do that is to share how God has been, and is so amazing in my life and my own personal story of His redeeming love.
To be part of this valuable work is a true privilege and I am grateful for the loving and encouraging Ignite team. All this is for God’s Kingdom and His Glory!
