When we go out into the community, we look for the person—man or woman—whom the Lord is already speaking to. How might they have prayed that morning: “Lord, if You’re real, show me!” Then, a few hours later, we meet them, and the Holy Spirit reveals Himself to them.

How to prepare our hearts for such encounters.

here’s how we might frame our prayers and actions:

  1. Pray for Sensitivity to the Spirit
Start the day with a prayer like:
“Lord, guide my steps and open my eyes to see where You’re at work. Help me to hear Your voice and respond with courage and love. Lead me to the person You are drawing to Yourself today.”
  2. Pray for the Person in Advance
Trust that God is already stirring hearts.
“Father, go before me and prepare the hearts of those I will meet. Speak to them in ways they can understand, and let them recognize You when we meet.”
  3. Be Available and Open
Sometimes, these encounters are subtle, requiring us to pause and engage with someone who seems to cross our path by chance.
  4. Trust the Holy Spirit’s Power
The Holy Spirit does the convicting and revealing. Our role is to show up, love, and speak truth as He leads. When we are faithful, even a simple conversation can become a profound turning point for someone.

By taking these steps in faith, you’ll often find that what seemed like a chance meeting becomes a sacred moment where the reality of God’s love and presence is undeniable
