Why I go on the streets and how the Lord has led me:
I go out on the streets so I can show people the love and compassion of Jesus. To show them that The Kingdom of God is right here right now & tell people that He loves us so much that He would send His son to die for us. To save us from our sins.
It all started when I’d been set free from unforgiveness and other strongholds and when I had shouted at God, I wanted to see people healed! In fact, I’m fed up with not seeing people healed.
It says in your Word: Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons and raise the dead. Why can’t I do that? Then seconds later, I felt like I was punched in the stomach, and I blurted out Chase the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul and strength. I knew that wasn’t me.
It was the Holy Spirit speaking through me. So, I chased as hard as I could. Attending every meeting, worshipping with eyes tight shut and arms stretched to heaven as if pulling heaven down. I read books on healing. I read about healing in the Bible. I watched YouTube videos of people doing healing in the streets. I just adsorbed as much as I could about healing. Then one Sunday Morning, I worshipped with all my heart, mind, soul and strength, and it was as if my right hand was stuck in a heavenly power socket. I shook like a rag doll and received a download of power and boldness.
Then I started stepping out in faith, and people were healed. And still, it continues…
I prefer to do this as part of a team as I often don’t think I get the Gospel message enough. Also, I am constantly learning, and it’s great to do that as part of a team.
I have asked the Lord for words of knowledge for people when I am out and about. The one I remember the most is feeling someone else’s pain in my left hip. I walked past a lady at my bus stop and felt the pain. “What’s this now?!” I shouted in my head. The thought came back, ” It’s not my pain.” That was the Lord speaking to me. I’m not sure why He didn’t say. It’s not your pain.
Still not worked that out, but I knew straight away what He meant. Weird!
Well, I explained to the lady, “I sometimes get words of knowledge from God, and I think at the moment I am feeling your pain in my hip”, as I held my left hip.
She asked Left hip? “Yes,” I agreed, holding my left hip.
She let me pray for her, and after a couple of prayers, all her pain left. She then opened up more, sharing that she used to go to church and that she’d had operations on her back but was still in pain & she asked if I could pray for her back which, of course, I did. However, she wouldn’t test her pain level straight away as she said It would take a while for her to notice the difference. We had a great conversation, and I got on her bus to continue our discussion.
When she got off, she stopped at the bus door to tell me that all her pain was gone. Awesome. God is great!
