In March 2024, we revisited Tom. He looked noticeably different from our last visit a few weeks earlier. We first met Tom in December 2023 as we went door to door in his village. Tom asked us if his recently deceased father was in heaven, which led us to share the gospel using the three circles.

Over the past three months, we have visited Tom several times, but he is often busy. When we knocked on his door, we found him in the middle of a video call with the courts regarding access to his children. We said we would pray and left Tom to return to the video call. Later, we found out that Tom had won the case!

Today, Tom looked relieved. He mentioned wanting to buy a new electric car but was hindered by an overgrown hedge. We offered to cut it for him, and after some persuasion, he agreed. After trimming the hedge, Jon invited us for a cup of tea and shared stories about his time in the army and his traumatic experiences in Iraq.

The conversation shifted to his father, which allowed us to share the gospel again. Tom understood and realised he was broken and needed Jesus. He prayed with Tom to receive Jesus as Lord and Saviour. We prayed together and planned to meet again soon to study the Bible.
