Just three week to go…

What a run! It was time to make the move from 10 -12 miles, with just 3 weeks to go I had to see if i could do it, and hoping to run the 12 miles in under 2 hrs. if I have any change of running the half marathon – 13 miles in under 2 hrs. I needed to give myself at least a starting chance.

I left home just after 7:30am with the rain / sleet blowing into my face (a great start) I always find the first miles hard going as its all uphill from my front door. Kept my head down and within a few minutes the road levelled off for the next couple of miles, by the time I reached 5 miles and the (Hagley mile) which is a very steep hill you just need to take one step at a time and 10 minutes later you are at the top – praise God. Then it gets a bit easier for the next couple of miles down manor way, turning left along onto grange rd. past McDonalds.. (9miles)

Then the last few miles getting tough trying to run up Haden Hill Rd, almost grinding to a stop just made it… just then a slight downhill run for ½ mile before running up past Haden hill leisure centre (11 miles) downhill all the way home…

12.05 Miles in 1:48:11 and average 8:59 PER MILE.
