Meekness

Meekness is not letting someone walk all over you, or just rolling over and giving in. it’s a humility & servanthood, someone once said that meekness is a strength under control. When we look at people in the Bible, Moses, King David and Jesus all of whom were said to be meek. It gives you the kind of image of true meekness and servanthood.  It’s God break you up from the inside-out and letting His light shine through. Only melted gold is minted, Only moistened clay accepts the mould, Only soften wax receives the seal and Only a broken and contrite heart received the mark as the potter turns us on His wheel

When Jesus is in the room

We all know that the bible says that Jesus will be with us always. below are three passages to just remind us of the fact.

Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

Revelation 21:3 “And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.”

Matthew 28:20 “Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

But this morning I saw it in a fresh new light, a couple of us were praying early this morning, as we normally do on a Wednesday morning. This morning was the first meeting this year.  As we were being still and knowing Him, I had a vision/ picture of Jesus sitting next to us praying – it took my breath away, but what was really amazing, as my friend was praying for revival for the UK, Jesus who was sitting between us,with his head bowed and hands together  praying the prayer of agreement, saying aman, so be it!!! but then my friend said “In Jesus name” and I saw Jesus look up and nodded, with a smile on his face.

Afterwards, we said to each other we need to keep that seat clear from now on!

The Prayer of Agreement – the connection between heaven and earth

When the Word is living and active.

We all know this story, but this morning I lived it.

“Then Jesus and his disciples walked to the villages near Caesarea Philippi.m On the way, he posed this question to his disciples: “Who do the people say that I am?” 28They replied, “Some say John the Immerser, others say Elijah the prophet, and still others say you must be one of the prophets.” “He asked them, “But who do you say that I am?” Petero the Rock spoke up, saying, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the Living God!”30Then he warned them not to breathe a word of this to anyone.” From then on, Jesus began to tell his disciples that he, the Son of Man, was destined to go to Jerusalem and suffer great in justicer from the elders, leading priests, and religious scholars. He also explained that he would be killed and three days later be raised to life again. 32Jesus opened his heart and spoke freely with his disciples, explaining all these things to them. Then Peter the Rock took him aside and rebuked him.t 33But Jesus turned around, and glancing at all of the other disciples, he rebuked Peter, saying, “Get out of my sight, Satan! For your heart is not set on God’s plan but man’s!”
It was a warm pleasant day as we were all talking together talking and laughing about something or another, John was in his normal places up close to JC (that’s what we call him). Judas, Tim, and Barth were lagging behind as normal and had just shouted wait for us.
when JC asked us “who do people say that I am”? I can’t remember what the other said.
It was as if everything went still, it was like even the leaves were listening to what was about to be said… It was as if JC was looking straight at me, and said who do you say that I am, who do you say that I am, who do you say that I am. As I looked back into those eyes which went on and on you could just get lost in them for hours. But from nowhere I felt God speak deep from with in and out of my mouth came “You are the Messiah, the Son of the Living God! JC just looked at me and smiled & nodded.
I felt such closeness and warmth I looked around at the other guys, they were just looking at me; I can guess what they were thinkings! at last pet, you hit the nail on the head and James came up and punched me on the arm. and I notice that John just caught JC eye and nodded.

but then JC started to talk about Jerusalem, and being arrested, and then cruixfied. and I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, and I shouted inside NOOOOOOOOO. I get hold of JC arm and pulled him aside It can’t happen, I won’t let it… NO way will it ever happen.
Then it happened, JC looked at me but this time those eyes were so very different, I felt scared, and then those words hit me, I will never for them as long as I live, “Get out of my sight, Satan! For your heart is not set on God’s plan but man’s”. I didn’t know what to do or where to go, my mouth opened, but nothing came out, I knew what the others were thinking, peter you were doing so well.
but them Jesus came put his arm around me, smiled and I just knew it was going to be ok.

A Prayer for our Nation

Dear Lord
Have mercy on us we pray, that in our hour of need you would hear the cry of your people and that you would answer us.
Lord forgive us for turning our backs on you and going are own way.
As a nation, we choose to turn around and to seek your face once again.

Almighty God, we come today to honour you. We come to acknowledge that you are the only one who can rightly lead and guide our nation.

The time has come Lord for us to seek your face, to humble ourselves as we listen to your wisdom, and ready to walk in integrity and love towards you and each other. Lord, we pray that all the hatred and violence in our country would give way to a new season of godliness – overflowing with an abundance of your love and peace.

We pray for all those in authority, that you would give them your wisdom and discernment as they lead. We ask that you would appoint strong, faithful men and women to serve this nation and our people.
We pray for your great healing on our land. Shine your face on us dear God. We need you now, more than ever before. Our times are in your hands.

Lord, would you be with your people, extending your grace, granting your freedom, providing your protection, and empowering with your strength. We ask that you’d bring about an awakening of your presence as never seen before. We ask that your Name be proclaimed, that all plans to silence the Name of Jesus would be thwarted and crushed.
We pray that many would come to know you as Lord and Savior, we pray that many would see your Light, that you would open blind eyes and release those still imprisoned.

Thank you, Lord, that you are for us and not against us. Bring honour to your name we pray and let his nation be great once again we pray.
In Name of Jesus, Amen.

A Nation Under God

Mark 3:24
If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand.
At this moment in history, this is where we are as a nation!
Could it be for such a time as this that the Church of Jesus Christ is here! Only as we stand together, no matter how we voted we will see God do something amazing?

Prob 18:20
The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.

As the church, we have the power to speak life into our nation, as we declare whom we put our trust in. It can’t be in the government, banks, our jobs, family, or friends. Our hope has been and always will be in Jesus Christ. we need to declare / to speak out over our nation that Jesus is the answer, to our nation’s problems.

All through history when a nation has called upon God, He has answered them., As we read the scriptures it is only as a nation cries out to God for forgiveness and repents, that things begin to change.

2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

If Britain wants to become Great Britain again we need to declare that our dependence is in God and him alone.
Ps 121 :1f
I lift up my eyes to the mountains – where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.

No matter how rich or poor you are, no matter the colour of your skin or the country you come from, we need to stand and declare that the United Kingdom is looking to God for our help and it is in Him that we trust.

So Church, it is time for us to speak out what we want to happen within our Nation and the tongue has the power to bring life or death. I urge you to stop speaking death and destruction over our nation as if we are already in the rubbish pile. What do you want to see happen within your family, friends and community; people coming to Christ, the family being restored, community growing, working together to really make a difference for prosperity and the favour and blessing of God to be poured over our lives? It’s time we started praying these same things for our beloved country for it is only under God that we shall be great once again.

We are at a turning point in history. what we speak and do over these next few day’s, weeks and months will shape our nation for generations to come .

It’s time to humble ourselves and put our trust back in the hands of the only person who can really make any difference.
“IT IS IN GOD WE TRUST”!

Please could you pass this on to your church leader and even your MP saying that we are praying for them at this hour and if you know any person of influence within the Kingdom of God, please pass it on to them also, as we need the men and woman of God who are in places of leadership and authority to get together and call our nation together for a time of prayer and declaration for this land.
